Bio
Meagan Macvie was born and raised in Soldotna, Alaska. She earned her MFA in fiction at Pacific Lutheran University and her BA in English Literature from the University of Idaho. Meagan’s novel, The Ocean in My Ears (Ooligan Press), is set in her hometown and explores identity, religion, love and family. In their starred review, Kirkus Reviews calls the novel an “unforgettable journey to adulthood” and named it a Best Teen Historical Fiction. Her short work has appeared in Narrative, Barrelhouse, and Fugue, among others. Meagan lives in the Netherlands with her husband, daughter, and their Australian Shepherd, Itsy.
